Volunteers are a crucial part of preparing citizens for emergencies or disasters and assisting them afterwards. Our non-profit and government organizations cannot
adequately reduce suffering without your assistance. Along with the opportunity to assist others, you will also learn many valuable skills that will benefit you and your
loved ones.

Inland Northwest Search & Rescue:
An adult search and rescue team which provides trained personnel for both urban and wilderness searches. 477-7610
Spokane Winter Knights: An adult group of snowmobile and ATV riders who volunteer their equipment and time to rescue individuals in the mountains & snow environment. 477-7610
Mounted Search & Rescue: Provides horse and mule resources for searching, packing equipment in to remote locations, and evacuating subjects with minor injuries. 477-7610 or email mountedsar@gmail.com
Intermountain Search Dogs: Provides professionally trained dogs and handlers to assist with air scent, trailing, and human remains detection. 477-7610
Inland Empire Bloodhounds: Provides professionally trained bloodhounds and certified handlers for assistance in search and rescue operations. 477-7610
Mountain West Rescue Dogs: Providing search dog teams to Inland Empire since 1982 - teams trained in air scent, trailing, water and scent discrimination. 477-7610
Explorer Search and Rescue:
youth and young adults trained in search and rescue techniques, survival, communications and first-aid. They are used in missing and lost person searches along with evidence recovery in many major crimes. 477-7610

Mobile Emergency Operations Center: Provides mobile command and control facilities for fire, law enforcement and search and rescue needs. 477-7609
Amateur Radio Emergency Services, Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service ( ARES/RACES): Provides amateur radio communications during disasters, Parades, Fun runs.

HOPE Animal-Assisted Crisis Response is a all-volunteer crisis response organization with specially trained and certified handler/canine teams that provide comfort to responders and victims.
The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC): active and retired volunteer medical workers that have been trained & credentialed to respond to a medical emergencies. Dave Byrnes
Sheriff Community Oriented Policing Effort (S.C.O.P.E) and Neighborhood Watch: Volunteers throughout Spokane County,
with a common mission to provide a safe living environment for the community and to increase citizen awareness of, and involvement in, community-oriented services in
